I am passionate about finding connections within the healthcare system to propose solutions that promote health equity and environmental sustainability. Whether advancing innovative treatment strategies, addressing health disparities, or supporting health policy development, I always take a proactive, data-driven approach to creating meaningful change.
Education
2021 - 2023
Master of Science - Biomedical Sciences, Specializing in Genetics and Genomics
Maastricht Univeristy
I earned my Master's degree from Maastricht University in 2023 after two years of study. During my education, I completed a year-long internship with the Department of Toxicogenomics. There, I researched the use of stem cells to treat patients with illnesses caused by mutations in their mitochondrial DNA. Although I greatly enjoyed this experience, I became aware of the harmful impact that clinical research can have on the environment. This realization motivated me to seek out opportunities aimed at creating a more environmentally sustainable healthcare industry.
2017 - 2021
Bachelor of Arts - Biology, Specializing in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Genetics
Minor - Public Health
Boston University
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Boston University in 2021 after four years of study. My studies followed a liberal arts program, which allowed me to develop many invaluable and diverse skills in addition to my technical training in Biology. During my Junior year, I took a course entitled The Sociology of Healthcare, which changed my perspective on the medical field and inspired me to pursue a Minor in Public Health.
